An Update From Florida

Hello everyone! I am having a wonderful time spending the summer interning at The Palm Beach Post. I'm already learning a ton, about my shooting and about living completely on my own. Here are some images I liked from some assignments from my first couple weeks.

The last several images are from my day photographing at The South Florida National Cemetery, and you can see more photos at the online gallery, here - http://www.mypalmbeachpost.com/gallery/news/families-remember-fallen-south-florida-national-ce/g9zt/#3466133

Enjoy!

First Post

Hey y'all! I'm finally switching my blog to be integrated with my website, so keep checking back here for updates! Also, my old blog, http://mcdermottlaura.blogspot.com/ will still remain online for archival purposes.

Anyway, it's been a while so here's an update. I'm currently finishing up my junior year, and my photojournalism capstone class is right around the corner. I'm not ready to think about graduation yet, but it's definitely looming! I'm also so, so incredibly excited to start this summer as the photo intern for The Palm Beach Post!

And finally I present to you some images from my dear friend Meg Roussos' Tipi Show from this past weekend! Spring light is finally emerging, and it was great to spend time away from society with some great Athens folk.
